About the Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA):
The Division of Mental Health and Addiction within the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) sets care standards for the provision of mental health and addiction services to Hoosiers. DMHA is committed to ensuring that clients have access to quality services that promote individual, family and community resiliency and recovery.
The division also certifies all community mental health centers and addiction treatment services providers. DMHA operates six psychiatric hospitals (NeuroDiagnostic Institute, Evansville Psychiatric Children’s Center, Evansville State Hospital, Logansport State Hospital, Madison State Hospital and Richmond State Hospital). DMHA provides funding support for mental health and addiction services to target populations with financial need and administers federal funds earmarked for substance abuse prevention projects.
Role Overview:
The Peer Support Manager will independently develop, adapt, and initiate certification trainings for individuals with lived experience in mental health, substance use and crisis related conditions. You will supervise up to six peer trainers that are contracted to ensure fidelity to the curriculum. The Manager oversees the training, credentialing, re-certification and continuing education of all Indiana Certified Peer Support Professionals. Your role collaborates with Indiana's Regional Recovery Hubs, Recovery Community Centers, and other Recovery Community Organizations to ensure fidelity in Peer Support across Indiana's Recovery Infrastructure. You will provide oversight to existing peer support professionals and work to expand peer support professionals into addiction and mental health treatment and recovery services throughout the State of Indiana. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert to the leadership team on all initiatives and existing programming regarding peer support professionals and related recovery supports and manages all current contracts pertaining to Peer Support oversight.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
