Mental Health America of Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio is seeking a full-time Peer Recovery Supporter to empower individuals with lived experience. You will work with NKY Health Department staff to provide one-on-one peer support, assist with connecting to treatment, and promote recovery and independence within the community.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, meeting clients where they are, and helping them access resources and services.

Qualifications

• Personal lived experience with HIV, mental health and/or substance use.
• Strong recovery story and active personal recovery.
• Certification as a Peer Support Specialist in Kentucky.
• Valid driver's license and active automobile insurance.
• Ability to maintain healthy professional boundaries and collaborate with partners.
• Model healthy boundaries to promote psychological safety and mutual respect.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing learning and training.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a role model for recovery.
• Connect individuals to peer support and treatment with staff and community partners.
• Share community resources and assist clients in meeting basic needs.
• Assess client needs and help set goals and how to achieve them.
• Complete intake and enrollment for one-on-one peer support services.
• Help clients build social skills, self-advocacy, trust, and wellness strategies.
• Plan and facilitate support groups to build recovery capital.
• Complete data entry to ensure quality communication and timely reporting.
