Job summary

Region Ten Community Services Board is seeking a Community Services Associate B- Peer Support Specialist at the Blue Ridge Center in Charlottesville, VA. This grant-funded, full-time role focuses on empowering consumers through peer support, offering recovery services to adults with mental health and/or co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities include connecting to groups, education, and collaboration with the program team.

Qualifications

• Personal recovery experience is required.
• 1–3 years of related field experience preferred.
• Sustained recovery recommended.
• Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist is preferred; must be pursued within 1 year of employment.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License with acceptable driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with and connect individuals to Blue Ridge Center groups and resources.
• Provide emotional and recovery support to individuals 18+ with mental health and/or co-occurring disorders.
• Support and educate BRC members and attendees.
• Work with program staff and adhere to Region Ten and DBHDS policies.
