Hours are 40 per week, typically 8am–5pm, with a one-hour lunch break.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences or related field with one year of relevant experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of experience in mental health/addictive diseases also acceptable.
  • Experience in group-based services and community resources is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evidence-based groupsessions with individuals identified with substance use disorders.
  • Document daily notes on progress in groups.
  • Provide resources in the surrounding community to aid sobriety.
  • Aide in increasing coping and basic living skills.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support.
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Advocate for clients' rights within the healthcare system.
  • Maintain confidential client records and prepare reports as required.
  • Conduct education sessions for clients and families and participate in outreach.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
