Job summary

Job description

What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Peer Recovery Coach I engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members to explore, create, and meet their recovery goals. They provide consultation to promote Telecare's Recovery Culture, recognizing each member's preferences and integrating them into services. They respond to critical situations with engagement and de-escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment during emergencies related to mental health or addiction.

Shifts Available:

Full-Time; AM | 8:00am-4:30pm | Monday - Friday

Expected starting wage range is $21.00 - $22.52, with geographic pay differentials based on location. Starting pay depends on relevant experience above minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Peer Certification obtained prior to hire and maintained throughout employment
  • In California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA before hire and maintained throughout employment
  • One year or part-time equivalent supporting members with behavioral health challenges
  • Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care
  • Successful completion of Peer Support or Peer Employment Training
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance, with willingness to use personal vehicle for work (reimbursed weekly at IRS rate)
