Job summary

OhioGuidestone is seeking a Certified Peer Supporter to work with clients with a substance use disorder, in partnership with the Fairfield County OHSTART program and community partners. The role involves delivering sobriety support, weekly client meetings, and developing Recovery Support Plans under supervision.

Responsibilities include educating clients about recovery paths, expanding sober networks, and connecting to community resources, while maintaining documentation and ethics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ohio Peer Recovery Support Certificate required.
• Experience as Recovery Coach and knowledge of court resources preferred.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License with safe driving record and insurance.
• Ability to pass physical exam and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide sobriety support services and inspire hope of recovery.
• Meet with client weekly and adjust with supervisor input.
• Educate clients on addiction model and paths to recovery.
• Help expand sober support network and connect to resources.
• Attend meetings, court hearings with client as requested.
• Develop a Recovery Support Plan for each client.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
