To be successful in this position, the peer recovery specialist must have lived experience with substance use and be in active recovery for two or more years. Provide quality services that facilitate recovery and wellness for people living with substance use concerns. Services are client‑centered, delivered in the home/community, and include case management, support, and sharing of personal history with and knowledge of substance use and mental health recovery. Positive outcomes are achieved through purposeful and respectful relationships rooted in trauma‑informed care, hope, and evidence‑based research.
