Job summary

Mid-Michigan Recovery Services (MMRS) is seeking a dedicated Peer Recovery Coach in Lansing, MI. You will use lived recovery experience to inspire others, support treatment navigation, and promote long-term recovery within a person-centered care approach.

You will work with case managers, clinicians, and community partners to advocate and connect clients to services, offering ongoing guidance and recovery planning. This is a full-time position emphasizing compassion and empowerment.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have a minimum of two (2) continuous years in recovery from substance use disorder.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain your CCAR Certification.
  • One year of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hope, encouragement, and peer support to individuals experiencing substance use disorders.
  • Assist clients in navigating treatment and community resources and support personal recovery goals.
  • Collaborate with case managers, clinicians, and community partners to advocate, plan recovery, and connect clients to services.

Mid-Michigan Recovery Services (MMRS) is looking to hire a Peer Recovery Coach who wants to make a difference!

With MMRS, you will play a vital role in providing hope, encouragement, and peer support to individuals experiencing substance use disorders. As a Peer Recovery Coach, you will use your lived experience in recovery to inspire others, help clients navigate treatment and community resources, and support them in achieving their personal recovery goals. Working alongside case managers, clinicians, and community partners, you will empower individuals through advocacy, recovery planning, education, and connection to services that promote long-term recovery. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about giving back, values person-centered care, and is committed to helping others build meaningful lives in recovery.
