Job summary

Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services in Cincinnati seeks a Peer Recovery Supporter to help individuals with mental illness lead healthier, more productive lives. You will provide peer support in person and through outreach, drawing on your own recovery journey to offer guidance.

The role includes assisting clients with access to services, coordinating with care teams, and serving as a positive role model.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Current or past consumer of community Mental health services.
• Willingness to self-identify as being in recovery and share personal journey to support program members.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist potential clients with setting up services through daily walk-ins for open-access intake assessments
• Researches and develops community resources in response to identified client needs
• Serves as a liaison between the consumers, care managers, and therapists
• Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities; serves as a positive role model for clients.
• Engage with clients by phone and in person to offer support and guidance
