Job summary

The Arc Lexington is seeking a Peer Mentor I to support Transition students in Albany, Mayfield, and Cobleskill. You will work directly with young adults to develop academic, career, and life skills, serving as a positive role model and guiding them toward greater independence.

This role offers flexible scheduling with day, evening, and weekend shifts, in both full-time and part-time opportunities, plus paid training to help you grow in the position and advance your own education or career goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled in college or recent college graduation required.
• Valid New York State driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in developing academic, career, and life skills.
• Attend classes with students and model positive behaviors.
• Help students build positive relationships and navigate new experiences.
• Support community activities and encourage responsible decision-making.
