Location:Lawrence, MA. Peer Recovery Program
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week. evenings & weekend hours may be required
Pay rate: $18.00-$19.00/hour

The Peer Coordinator is responsible for:
- Recruiting volunteers for the Recovery Center and provides pre-service orientation and training to peer volunteers.
- Working closely with peer volunteers to plan, implement and evaluate program activities.
- Overseeing work performed by peer volunteers.
- Helping facilitate volunteer committees.
- Providing recovery coaching to participants.
- Performing case management activities regarding initial housing, job search, medical services, insurance, social services, education, etc.
- Coordinating continuing recovery referrals including scheduling of initial appointments.
- Demonstrating cultural competency in working with participants, employees, referral agencies and others from diverse ethnicities, cultures and backgrounds.
- Maintaining and preparing reports as directed.
- Assisting with crisis management and other emergencies as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- One year of experience in substance addiction program preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Must have a driver's license & vehicle
- Must attend a full week training (Recovery Coach Academy)
- Must display the use of appropriate independent judgement to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.
- Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting.
- Weekends and night shift may be required.
