Students on the Move supports young people as they navigate their educational, career, and personal development journeys while also proviiding academic support. Our team is committed to providing consistent, caring, and professional guidance that empowers students to reach their goals.
The Peer Advisor plays a key role in supporting students through regular communication, resource guidance, and relationship-building. Peer Advisors serve as reliable points of contact, helping students identify opportunities, complete important next steps, and connect with program or community support. This role is ideal for individuals who are organized, empathetic, and passionate about helping others succeed.
Build supportive, respectful working relationships with assigned students.
Provide consistent communication and respond within the program’s established timeframe.
Follow through on agreed-upon next steps and maintain accurate caseload documentation.
Use organization-approved, up-to-date information and resources when guiding students.
Maintain appropriate boundaries and communicate only through approved methods.
Complete all required documentation, surveys, and caseload updates.
Seek support early when a student situation is unclear, sensitive, urgent, or outside your expertise.
Represent Students on the Move with professionalism in all interactions with students, families, schools, partners, and community members.
Able to provide academic support through tutoring in various subjects, including but not limited to Math, English reading and writing, History, etc.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks.
Comfortable tracking data and completing documentation accurately.
Commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct.
Interest in supporting youth through educational and personal development pathways.
