Job summary

MedCadre is seeking an experienced RN to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit team in Phoenix. You will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill children, monitor patients, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes.

Ideal candidates have an active RN license, PICU/critical-care experience, BLS and PALS, and excellent communication and teamwork skills to support patients and families in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Current RN license or eligibility to practice nursing in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• PICU/critical-care experience preferred.
• BLS and PALS required; ACLS as applicable.
• Strong pediatric assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor pediatric patients.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and other critical parameters.
• Manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, lines, drains, and other critical-care equipment as applicable.
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Assist with procedures, resuscitation, and stabilization of critically ill children.
• Provide age-appropriate care and education to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection-control and safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
