Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide substitute classroom support for students with medical and personal-care needs in a school setting.

The role is PRN/substitute with a 7:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. schedule and requires an active LPN license and CPR certification. You will assist with feeding, toileting, mobility, and transfers while following each student’s care plan and collaborating with teachers and health staff.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted LPN license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs is preferred.
• Comfortable providing toileting, feeding, mobility, and transfer assistance.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist students feeding by mouth.
• Provide toileting and personal-care assistance.
• Assist with safe transfers to wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
• Support students with activities throughout the school day.
• Follow each student’s established care plan and all safety procedures.
• Observe students and promptly communicate health-related concerns to the appropriate school staff.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, nurses, and other members of the school team.
• Maintain each student’s dignity, safety, comfort, and privacy.
