Job summary

Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse for our general pediatrics stepdown unit in Wilmington, Delaware. This part-time night-shift position requires a compassionate, skilled nurse to monitor post-operative pediatric patients, manage IV therapies, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates have pediatric experience, a DE nursing license or eligibility, and BLS certification. BSN preferred; if you hold an associate's degree you must pursue BSN within three years.

Qualifications

• Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• At least 6 months of nursing experience.
• DE nursing license eligibility required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
• BSN preferred; if associate's degree, must obtain BSN within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for pediatric patients on a general pediatrics stepdown unit.
• Monitor post-operative patients and manage care for renal and tracheostomy needs.
• Administer medications and use infusion pumps and other unit equipment.
• Document patient information in the EMR and collaborate with the care team.
