Job summary

Nemours Children’s Health seeks a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in General Pediatrics/Solid Organ Transplant to join our Wilmington, Delaware team. The role provides and coordinates specialty pharmacy services within the Pharmacy Department, collaborating with medical, nursing, and informatics staff to optimize patient care, reduce costs, and minimize medication errors.

The position also mentors pharmacy students and residents, supports quality improvement, and promotes formulary use.

Qualifications

• PharmD with active license in DE/NJ/PA.
• PGY-1 residency or 5 years pediatric hospital experience required.
• PGY-2 pediatrics preferred.
• Hospital pharmacy experience required, pediatric emphasis preferred.
• Board certification in relevant specialties required or obtainable within 12 months.
• BLS and PALS certifications required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for accuracy and patient safety.
• Educate and consult with medical staff and pharmacy staff.
• Provide specialized pharmaceutical services to optimize drug therapy.
• Develop quality improvement projects and monitor processes.
• Mentor pharmacists-in-training and students; participate in orientations.
• Promote formulary use and coordinate non-formulary procurement.
• Oversee Lexi-Comp drug information resource and ensure formulary alignment.
• Participate in pediatric policy and order set development.
• Ensure punctual attendance and regulatory compliance.
• Support certifications and ongoing professional development.
