Job summary

Mission Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide leadership and high-quality nursing care in the Pediatrics unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care while documenting care and teaching patients and families.

You will oversee care delivery for a group of patients, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and provide education to patients and families. The role requires ADN, with BSN preferred, NC RN licensure, and BLS; one year of RN experience

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain current RN licensure with North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• One year of RN experience (pediatrics preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the pediatrics unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Oversee delivery of patient care for a group of patients based on acuity and staff availability.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes and provide education to patients and families.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pediatrics unit, you will provide leadership which facilities the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.

• You will oversee the delivery of patient care for a group of patients and direct patient are based on patient acuity and staff availability.
• You will provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care processes indicated to adhere to legal, ethical and competency level of staff.
• You will collaborate and consult with patients, colleagues and interdisciplinary team members to achieve desired outcomes.
• You will provide education for self, staff, colleagues, patients and/or families.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Experience:One year of RN experience
• Preferred Experience:Hospital nursing experience
• Required Education:Associate degree in nursing (ADN)
• Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN)
• Required LicenseMust have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON
• Required Certification:BLS Healthcare Provider
• Preferred Certification:National Certification in area of specialty
