Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, is seeking a Pediatrics Registered Nurse to lead the delivery of professional nursing care, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. You will oversee care for a patient group, supervise staff, and educate patients and families while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Required: ADN with RN license in NC (eNLC may apply) and BLS; 1 year RN experience. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience.
• Current licensure as registered nurse in North Carolina (eNLC may apply).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to deliver professional nursing care for pediatric patients.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Educate patients, families and staff; collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Oversee patient care delivery based on acuity and staffing.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pediatrics unit, you will provide leadership which facilities the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.

• You will oversee the delivery of patient care for a group of patients and direct patient are based on patient acuity and staff availability.
• You will provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care processes indicated to adhere to legal, ethical and competency level of staff.
• You will collaborate and consult with patients, colleagues and interdisciplinary team members to achieve desired outcomes.
• You will provide education for self, staff, colleagues, patients and/or families.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Experience:One year of RN experience
• Preferred Experience:Hospital nursing experience
• Required Education:Associate degree in nursing (ADN)
• Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN)
• Required LicenseMust have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON
• Required Certification:BLS Healthcare Provider
• Preferred Certification:National Certification in area of specialty
