Job summary

ProHealth Physicians (CT), part of the Optum family, seeks a Practice Manager to join the Pediatrics team in Glastonbury, CT. This role reports to the Senior Practice Manager and leads daily operations to ensure efficient, compliant care.

You will drive workflows, oversee scheduling, HR, and performance metrics to improve patient access and satisfaction, while partnering with physicians and leadership to achieve financial goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in Practice/Medical Office Management/Operations driving operational workflows.
• Solid computer knowledge and aptitude.
• Proven highly proficient with reporting and data analytics.
• Experience with electronic health records, coding and billing a plus.
• Lean/Six Sigma process improvement knowledge appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Establish work procedures and standards to improve efficiency in the office.
• Assist leadership to develop long-range plans for the practice.
• Manage office operations to maximize patient access and payments collection.
• Coordinate staff/provider schedules for quality patient care.
• Lead HR activities including hiring, onboarding, coaching and evaluating.
• Reconcile and investigate patient complaints.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and ensure policy compliance.
• Participate in meetings at practice, regional and organizational levels.
