St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA, is recruiting a full-time BC/BE Child Abuse Pediatrician to join its Child Protection Program.
The Child Protection Program, established in 2004, provides comprehensive medical evaluations for suspected victims of abuse in the greater Philadelphia area. The team includes two board-certified child abuse pediatricians, a dedicated social worker, nurse, and support staff. Annually, the program conducts hundreds of evaluations for physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect, in inpatient, outpatient, and regional Child Advocacy Center settings. The team collaborates closely with local investigators to ensure timely communication of medical findings. The program also emphasizes education for trainees, medical students, residents, and fellows. The incoming pediatrician will be appointed at Drexel University College of Medicine, the hospital's academic affiliate.
