Job description

Pediatrician opportunity in Mesa, AZ

We are seeking a Pediatrician to join our growing team of Pediatric Physicians providing comprehensive primary health care services through the identification, management, and referral of health problems, as well as health maintenance. The role involves performing a range of assignments from routine to exceptional with minimal guidance, following clinic practices and procedures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Report to the Regional Medical Director.
  2. Provide accessible and available health services to patients within your credentialed scope.
  3. Educate and communicate effectively with patients regarding diagnoses, treatments, preventive measures, and healthcare system navigation.
  4. Deliver treatment aligned with clinical impressions and working diagnoses.
  5. Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records promptly.
  6. Ensure proper transfer of information for continuity of care.
  7. Evaluate patients in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
  8. Complete all required documentation for billing.
  9. Familiarity with EPSDT statutes, immunization schedules, and contraindications.
  10. Promote excellent customer service to both external and internal customers.
  11. Consult, refer, and collaborate with other healthcare disciplines involved in patient care.
  12. Advise management on performance issues among medical auxiliary personnel.
  13. Perform duties of other clinical personnel as necessary.
  14. Participate in rotating emergency call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
  15. Attend CME programs (up to 40 hours annually) and maintain credentialing and privileging in good standing.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Graduate from an accredited medical school.
  2. Completed an accredited U.S. Pediatric Residency program.
  3. Board certified or eligible.
  4. Valid Arizona medical license.
  5. Valid DEA certificate.
  6. Current BLS certification.
  7. Understanding of clinical methods and techniques.
  8. Effective communication with clients, colleagues, and the public.
  9. Proficiency in business English, spelling, and punctuation.
  10. Basic computer skills.
  11. Valid Arizona driver’s license.
  12. Commitment to our mission, vision, and values.
  13. Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultures and social backgrounds.
  14. CPR and AED certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross courses.
  15. Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety for behavioral health locations.

NONESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. At least three years of experience in community health.
  2. Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
  3. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
