Pediatrician opportunity in West Phoenix, AZ
We are seeking a Pediatrician to join our growing team of Pediatric Physicians providing comprehensive primary health care services through the identification, management, and referral of health problems, as well as maintenance of the client's health via preventive care and health promotion. The role involves performing a range of assignments, from routine to exceptional, with minimal guidance, in accordance with clinic practices and procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report to the Regional Medical Director
- Provide accessible and available health services to patients within your credentialed and privileged scope
- Educate and effectively communicate with patients regarding diagnosis, treatment, preventive measures, and healthcare system navigation
- Deliver treatment consistent with clinical impressions and working diagnoses
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely electronic medical record entries
- Transfer information appropriately for continuity of care
- Evaluate patients in a timely, courteous, and professional manner
- Complete all documentation required for billing services
- Familiarity with EPSDT statutes, immunization schedules, and contraindications
- Promote and demonstrate excellent customer service to both external and internal customers
- Collaborate with other healthcare disciplines involved in patient care
- Advise management on performance issues of medical auxiliary personnel, including M.A.s
- Perform duties of other clinical personnel as necessary
- Participate in rotating emergency call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned
- Attend continuing medical education (CME) programs (up to 40 CME hours annually) and submit certificates to maintain credentialing and privileging
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited U.S. Pediatric Residency program
- Board certified or eligible
- Valid Arizona medical license
- Valid DEA certificate
- Current BLS certification
- Understanding of clinical methods and techniques
- Effective communication skills with clients, colleagues, and the public
- Proficiency in basic business English, spelling, and punctuation
- Basic computer skills
- Valid AZ driver’s license

- CPR and AED certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross courses
- Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety
NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Three years of community health experience
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred)
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHRs)
