Pediatric Physician opening - Waterloo, IA - J1/H1b Eligible

Position Details

• Full-time; Hospital Employed
• Seeking a Pediatric Physician to join our team in Waterloo & Cedar Falls, IA
• Established team of physicians and Advanced Practitioners
• Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine with inpatient rounding in an established and well-known clinic
• Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
• Full-time position including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
• Fully integrated system with clinic and hospital EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities

• See an average of 15-25 patients per day; no nights or weekends during clinic hours
• Shared call amongst the providers, currently 1:4, with an average of 8-10 inpatients
• Work as a team to improve the health of the community
• Perform well baby visits, check-ups, annual physicals, and monitor growth and development
• Evaluate, interpret, and coordinate patient information to make informed decisions and recommendations
• Maintain a patient-focused, friendly, and collaborative approach
• Exhibit excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license in Iowa
• Current and unrestricted authority to prescribe and administer medications as needed
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
