Job summary

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Charlestown is seeking a Pediatrics Per Diem RN to provide patient care in a dynamic rehabilitation setting, using nursing standards and the nursing process to support patient-driven outcomes.

Responsibilities include completing assessments, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, documenting, coordinating with the team, and mentoring staff. Requires MA RN license, BLS, PALS, and at least 2 years pediatric inpatient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments accurately and timely.
• Develop and implement a plan of care reflecting patient needs and goals.
• Provide, evaluate, and modify nursing care to achieve objectives.
• Complete patient care documentation per established standards.
• Administer medications safely according to professional standards.
• Transcribe or acknowledge doctors' orders as needed.
• Coordinate nursing care activities with other team members.
• Assess patient education needs and provide relevant education.
• Mentor and teach healthcare team members as needed.
• Actively participate in team conferences and meetings.
