Job summary

The successful candidate will hold a Massachusetts RN license, have 2+ years of inpatient pediatric hospital experience, and be able to manage a variable schedule including evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Effective verbal, electronic and written communications in English; computer proficiency required.
• Maintain variable work schedule including evenings, nights, holidays, weekends and travel.

Responsibilities

• Nursing assessment completed accurately and timely.
• Plan of care developed and implemented.
• Nursing care provided, evaluated and modified to achieve goals.
• Patient care documentation completed per standards.
• Medications administered safely and according to policies.
• Transcribe/acknowledge doctors orders as needed.
• Coordinate nursing activities with care team to meet patient goals.
• Educate patients and families about disease, medications, discharge planning.
• Mentor and teach healthcare team members as needed.
• Participate in team conferences to achieve goals.
• Uphold PCC values of innovation, collaboration, accountability, respect, excellence.
