Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Education: Bachelor‘s Degree: Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient transfers with assistance as needed, and uses proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
• Designs and adapts a plan of care aligning goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine OT diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Completes examinations, tests range of motion, strength, and daily functional tasks.
• Documents evaluations and plans of care per department policy, including goals and changes.
• Ensures therapy under supervision complies with program requirements and ethical guidelines.
