Job summary

Grand Canyon University in Meridian, ID is seeking a Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty member specializing in Pediatrics to shape the nurses of the future. The role focuses on developing and delivering clinical instruction and evaluating student performance for pre-licensure nursing students.

The position is full-time, based on-site in Meridian, with a schedule Monday through Friday 8am–5pm and clinical rotation flexibility.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in Pediatric nursing.
• Active RN in the state of ID or compact state.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Evidence of involvement in professional activities (e.g., organizations, presentations).

Responsibilities

• Reinforces didactic content and teaches clinical and lab applications for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborates with content area faculty to document student progress toward objectives.
• Participates in grading written and Clinical/Lab performance check-offs.
• Maintains lines of communication with program faculty and director and attends selected faculty meetings.
• Keeps current with trends in nursing practice and accrediting standards.
• Upholds the University’s mission and Doctrinal Statement; travels to student clinical sites to observe performance.
