Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent work experience in pediatric nursing.
• An active, current and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of New Mexico or compact state.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Must successfully pass a drug test.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content and teach in the context of clinical and lab application for pre-licensure Nursing.
• Collaborate with content area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical and lab objectives.
• Participate in grading written and Clinical/Lab performance check-offs.
• Maintain communication with program faculty and director, including attendance at select faculty meetings.
• Remain current with trends and developments in nursing practice.
• Maintain compliance with program accreditation requirements.
• Uphold the pillars of the University and the nursing profession.
• Travel to student clinical sites in the greater Albuquerque area to observe student performance.
