Qualifications

• RN with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college/university required.
• Three years’ clinical experience required.
• Endorsed with RN licensure in Tennessee and CPR certification for health care professionals.
• Advanced preparation and experience in Pediatrics or Psychiatric/Mental Health.

Responsibilities

• Instruction and supervision of RN students in the classroom, Pediatrics focus.
• Instruct and supervise RN students in clinical agency and practice settings.
• Work under the direction of course faculty or Dean of Nursing for the course.
• Participate in departmental activities associated with the instructional program.
• Communicate clearly with students and colleagues across diverse groups.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and external health professionals.
• Engage in professional organizations related to nursing and teaching.
• Adapt to changes in the nursing program and schedule office hours as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

RN licensure in Tennessee

CPR certification for health care professionals

Advanced preparation and experience in Pediatrics or Psychiatric/Mental Health
