Job summary

Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clerical and clinical support in an ambulatory care setting. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant in ambulatory care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical front-office services: patient registration, cashiering, appointment setting.
• Obtain vitals, assess primary problem, and prepare patient for provider visit.
• Charting in medical record and accurate documentation.
• Enter and retrieve patient data in the electronic health record system.
• Assist with minor procedures and administration of medications as directed.
