PM Pediatrics in Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant to support pediatric urgent care operations. You will greet patients, obtain histories, take vitals, prepare patients for X-rays, assist with labs, wounds, and routine procedures under physician supervision.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma or GED and experience as a Medical Assistant, plus comfort with computers and medical software. You will join a collaborative team focused on compassionate patient care.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant.
• Knowledge of EKG placement and processing in children.
• Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab and venipuncture.
• Demonstrates professional and friendly demeanor.
• Strong communications and organizational skills.
• Prior pediatric experience.
• Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing to learn medical software.
• Experience with medical records preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (throat/urine cultures).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds.
• Assist in quality control testing in the lab.
• Be an integral part of the patient care team within scope of practice.
• Maintain exam rooms and front reception stocked with supplies.
• Maintain waiting room cleanliness and order.
• Follow safety practices and precautions.
• Respond to emergencies and notify medical team as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Assist with service recovery when needed.
• Perform other duties including splints and assisting with procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer services.
