Job summary

The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient-centered Medical Assistant II to support our Pediatrics Clinic in North Liberty, IA, with potential to float to other clinics across Pediatric, Family Medicine and Specialty locations. This 80% position schedules 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with on-site parking and a robust benefits package.

The role involves performing technical, patient care and clerical duties under supervision to coordinate all elements of the patient visit,

Qualifications

• Certification OR registration as a Medical Assistant.
• Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
• Availability to support other clinical locations based on need/hours.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, function as a member of the patient care team.
• Perform technical, patient care and related clerical functions in ambulatory setting.
• Coordinate all elements of the patient visit and support the family medicine/pediatrics clinics.
