Job summary

The University of Iowa Community Clinics seeks a patient-centered Medical Assistant II to support Pediatric Clinics at Holiday Road and North Dodge. 100% FTE (40 hours/week) with full benefits and on-site parking; occasional float to other clinic locations may occur.

Under supervision, you will perform clinical and clerical duties to coordinate visits, assist providers, and support patient care in an ambulatory setting. UI Health Care emphasizes teamwork and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant or completion of a recognized Medical Assistant Program.
• Alternative health care program with MA elements may qualify.
• Strong written/verbal communication and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Support our Pediatric Clinic patients under direct supervision.
• Work under supervision of physician, PA, NP or RN.
• Perform technical, patient care and clerical tasks in ambulatory settings.
• Operate electronic health records and basic office equipment.
