Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Medical Assistant I for the District Pediatrics Clinic in Henderson, NV. The role supports clinicians in gathering patient information and delivering care, with a focus on clear communication and teamwork to ensure high-quality service.

The position is full-time (40 hours per week), Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Candidates should have MA program completion and at least one year of MA experience, with BLS and EMR proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• At least one year of Medical Assistant work experience.
• Current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in Utah.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Providing patient care under the direction of the Clinician, assisting the provider to gather information related to the visit and condition.
• Communicating clearly with patients seeking care through telephone and in-person interactions.
• Working with cross functional teams to collaborate on patient care.
• Attention to detail and follow-through are key components in helping to provide the care that is needed.
