Job summary

Community Health Network is looking for a Medical Assistant to facilitate patient visits in an ambulatory health care site. The role includes preparing exam rooms, managing patient flow, and performing necessary medical tasks.

Applicants should have a diploma from a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience, with certification needed within 6 months of hire. The position offers an engaging environment focused on community health.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a Medical Assistant program OR a high school diploma + 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in physician practice.
• Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use including required cleaning and stocking of supplies.
• Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload.
• Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection.
• Documentation of care using the EPIC EMR system.
• Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient’s chief complaint and available protocols.
• Process referrals and medication refills.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
