Duke Children’s Clinic in Durham, NC seeks a dedicated LPN to provide direct and indirect pediatric care in an ambulatory setting. The role offers clinical ladder advancement, committee participation, and collaboration with a diverse care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Practical Nurse program.
• Current North Carolina LPN license or NLC.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Plan, provide, and document nursing care in ambulatory settings per physician orders and policies.
• Perform patient intake: vital signs, screening tools, data collection, and support with ambulation.
• Complete procedures: vaccinations, medications, ear lavage, dental varnishing, specimen collection, EKGs, orthostatic pressures.
• Participate in clinic committees and act as liaison between patients and providers to improve care.
• Collaborate with interpreters, clerical, social work, and other care team members.
• Engage in quality improvement projects and ongoing professional development.
• Identify clinical, operational, and safety improvement opportunities.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
