Job summary

Duke Children's Health Center in Durham, NC is seeking a registered nurse to plan, provide, supervise, and document professional nursing care for pediatric outpatients and families. The role may also support care at Lenox Baker Children's Hospital, with a focus on flexibility and adapting to high patient volumes.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of nursing experience, NC RN (or compact) license, and BLS. Full-time, Mon-Fri 8:15 am–4:45 pm; relocation assistance up to $8,000 is available.

Qualifications

• 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Current NC RN license (or compact licensure) to practice in North Carolina.
• BLS Certification required.
• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher), ADN, or Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise, and document professional nursing care in accordance with physician orders and policies.
• Provide nursing services and education to pediatric patients and families per NC Board of Nursing definition.
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and unlicensed care providers; serve as team leader or charge nurse as assigned.
• Monitor and maintain the environment of care, equipment, and materials; initiate corrective action as needed.
• Participate in professional development, preceptorship, and performance improvement activities.
