Job summary

Duke Health's Duke Children's Clinic in Durham, NC is seeking an LPN to deliver direct and indirect patient care in an ambulatory setting. The role offers opportunities for professional development and advancement on the LPN clinical ladder, along with committee participation.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support quality patient care, participate in vaccination and exam procedures, and follow established policies while maintaining competencies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved or accredited Practical Nurse program.
• Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience required; manager may consider 6 months for exceptional performers.
• Current North Carolina LPN licensure or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document professional nursing care in ambulatory settings under supervision and physician orders.
• Perform patient intake, vital signs, screening tools, and medication reviews.
• Administer vaccinations and medications per protocols and provider orders; assist with procedures and testing.
• Participate in clinic committees to improve patient care and serve as liaison between patients and providers.
