Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians at Methodist Physicians Clinic - South in Omaha. The role includes patient preparation, phlebotomy, medication administration assistance, lab and radiology orders, and appointment scheduling.

Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with a $2500 sign-on bonus. Responsibilities include patient education, triage, exam room setup, charting, and coordinating tests while ensuring HIPAA compliance and compassionate patient care across

Qualifications

Completion of an approved Medical Assistant Program or current enrollment in a nursing program with required externship/preceptorship.
Transcripts for nursing coursework may be requested.
Experience or training in phlebotomy and medication reconciliation is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians with daily activities including preparing patients for examinations, phlebotomy, injections, and medication entry.
Schedule diagnostic tests and manage communications with patients and providers.
Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure accurate documentation of tests and procedures.
Provide patient education and triage by phone when appropriate.
Support exam room preparation and equipment setup for procedures.
