Job summary

Legacy Community Health in Stafford, TX seeks a Pediatrics Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to deliver patient-centered pediatric care in a community health setting.

You will design flexible schedules, work with a collaborative team, and contribute to ongoing professional growth while serving underserved populations with compassion and expertise.

Qualifications

• Current license from the Texas Board of Nursing and completion of program at an accredited school or graduation from an accredited program as Physician Assistant and current Texas state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience, with a preference for FQHC clinic settings, providing a solid foundation in community healthcare.
• Proficiency in managing multiple deadlines with a strategic prioritization approach.

Responsibilities

• Follow licensure guidelines and regulations specific to your scope of practice.
• Conduct comprehensive and focused assessments to evaluate patients’ health status effectively.
• Gather detailed health histories through interviews and reviews of health records.
• Perform thorough physical examinations and document findings with accuracy.
• Provide health education, counseling on illness prevention, and family planning services.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to guide and personalize patient care plans.
• Advocate for patients’ rights and ensure their voices are central to care decisions.
• Deliver tailored clinical therapy and treatment to meet individual patient needs.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and relevant committees.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge through training and professional development programs.

Key Responsibilities
