Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Ambulatory Clinic Nurse (RN) in Pediatrics for the KU MedWest, Medical Pavilion, Olathe Pediatrics location. This PRN, part-time role supports ambulatory pediatric care with focus on nursing process, independent judgment, and patient education.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, assessment, care coordination, and documentation, with adherence to standards of care. Requires current RN license and BLS; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Experience in ambulatory pediatrics preferred.
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment in outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ambulatory pediatrics.
• Perform initial patient assessment and coordinate follow-up with care team.
• Evaluate unstable patient situations and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Document patient education and care plans in charts.
• Respond to patient treatment-related inquiries and ensure proper form completion.
