Job summary

Intermountain Health in Nevada is seeking a Pediatric Neurosurgeon to join a dedicated team on a single campus, with opportunities to shape clinical programs and participate in leadership and research initiatives.

Qualifications

  • ACGME-accredited residency in Neurological Surgery; fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery preferred.
  • Nevada medical license or ability to obtain one.
  • BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Clinic, surgical, and call responsibilities all on one hospital campus.
  • Sustainable on-call rotation with additional compensation for coverage.

About this role:

As a Pediatric Neurosurgeon with Intermountain Health, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience.

  • You’lljoinIntermountainNevada Children’s Pediatric Neurosurgery team,initiallyas one oftwofull timepediatric neurosurgeons.You’llcollaborate with an established APP,supported bycollegialstaffand leadership.
  • Allofyourclinic, surgicaland callresponsibilities will beconveniently located on onehospital campus.
  • Sustainablecallrotation, withadditionalcompensation for supplemental coverage.
  • You’llbeeligiblefor an adjunct faculty appointment with the University of Utah Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery,consistentlyrecognized as a top pediatric neurosurgical program.
  • While notrequired,opportunityforleadershipandresearchroleswillexistover time.

Intermountain Health is investing in Nevada's future with a new 200-bed Children's Hospital that will become the region's destination for complex pediatric care. Pediatric Neurosurgery is a cornerstone specialty of this vision, creating significant opportunities for program growth, innovation, multidisciplinary collaboration, and clinical leadership.

This is a rare opportunity toshapea growing pediatric neuroscience program at a pivotal moment. The incoming surgeon will have a meaningful voice in strategic planning, program development, clinical pathways, recruitment, and the future growth of pediatric neurosurgical services throughout the region.

Compensation will include a guaranteed base salary, withan initialstarting bonus andrelocationassistance.

What you’ll bring:
  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • ACGME accredited residency training inNeurological Surgery, and fellowship training in Pediatric Neurosurgery
  • Board certification or eligibility inPediatric Neurosurgery
  • Active, unobstructedNevadamedical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • BLS certification
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
  • All general and sub-specialty interests welcomed .
  • Visa candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
