Job summary

University Hospitals Urgent Care in Medina, Ohio is seeking a Pediatrician to join our fast-paced urgent care team. You will evaluate and treat children and young adults, perform procedures like suturing and I/D, interpret X-rays and EKGs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
• Active medical license in the state of practice or ability to obtain licensure.
• Current DEA registration.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications.
• Strong clinical experience caring for pediatric and adolescent patients.
• Experience performing procedures such as suturing and incision/drainage.
• Experience interpreting X‑rays and EKGs.
• Ability to meet University Hospitals Urgent Care credentialing requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative clinical team.
• Willingness to travel to other centers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients ages 0–26 with emphasis on pediatric/adolescent care.
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based medical care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
• Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries.
• Perform procedures within scope: suturing, incision and drainage, splinting.
• Order, interpret, and utilize diagnostic tests (X-rays, EKGs, labs).
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment, prevention, and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and support quality care.
• Collaborate with other clinicians to provide efficient, high-quality care.
• Travel to other UH Urgent Care centers as needed.
