Job summary

University Hospitals Urgent Care in Willoughby, OH is seeking an experienced Pediatrician to provide age-appropriate care for patients from 0 to 26 years in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role focuses on pediatric and adolescent care, with collaboration across physicians and APPs to deliver high-quality urgent care.

The ideal candidate will be MD or DO, board certified or eligible in pediatrics, and hold a current Ohio license with DEA, BLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

MD or DO with active license in Ohio
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
Active medical license and DEA registration
Current BLS and PALS certifications
Experience caring for pediatric and adolescent patients
Experience performing procedures such as suturing and incision/drainage
Experience interpreting X-rays and EKGs

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients ages 0–26 with emphasis on pediatric/adolescent care
Provide compassionate, evidence-based medical care in a fast-paced urgent care setting
Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries
Perform procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, and splinting
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-ray, EKG, labs)
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up
Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure quality care
Collaborate with clinicians and support staff to deliver efficient care
Travel to other UH Urgent Care centers as needed
