Job summary

CommUnityCare Health Centers in Austin, TX seeks a Pediatrician to provide direct clinical care to pediatric patients in collaboration with patients, families and the care team. You will perform comprehensive assessments, order tests, prescribe therapies and coordinate follow-up, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and high-quality patient care.

The role requires an MD/DO with an unrestricted Texas license, board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics, and current CPR

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas.
• Board Certification in Pediatrics or completion of Board Certification within 1 year of employment.
• DEA registration for prescribing.
• CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments in pediatrics.
• Order and interpret tests and imaging; diagnose and treat conditions.
• Prescribe medications and therapies; provide preventive care.
• Instruct patients and families on procedures, home care and follow-up.
• Lead and coordinate care with the health-care team; ensure compliant care delivery.
• Document patient data in electronic medical records; report required information to authorities.
• Promote high standards of medical practice and stay updated on best practices.
