Job summary

The Pediatric Center of Southwest Louisiana is actively seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatrician for a full-time role across our Lake Charles, Sulphur, and Moss Bluff locations. The practice emphasizes a balanced, high-quality, patient-centered approach with in-house labs and X-ray to support efficient care.

We offer a 4.5-day workweek, rotating weekend clinic coverage, and a team-based environment with NP/PA support.

Qualifications

• Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Training: Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency program.
• Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Pediatrics.
• Licensure: Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Louisiana Medical License and a valid DEA registration.
• Certifications: Current NRP and CPR certifications are highly encouraged."

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, full-spectrum pediatric care from newborns through adolescence.
• Conduct routine well-child exams, developmental screenings, and immunizations.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, chronic pediatric conditions, and minor injuries.
• Manage inpatient newborn nursery rounding on a rotating basis.
• Maintain precise and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Collaborate closely with our multi-provider team and local medical specialists to ensure seamless continuity of care.
