Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services seeks a part-time weekend pediatrician to provide outpatient pediatric care in the Chesapeake and Virginia Beach area, supporting military families in a structured, team-based clinical setting.

You will manage routine, acute, and chronic pediatric conditions, coordinate with specialists, and document care in military clinic EHR systems. Board-certified or eligible pediatricians with active U.S. licensure are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited pediatric internship/residency.
• Board Certification in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.
• Current, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
• Current BLS and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• 1+ year of full-time pediatric experience within the last 2 years.
• Ability to use EHR systems and meet military clinic documentation requirements.
• 2 recent letters of reference within the past 2 years from supervising physicians or hospital administrators.

Responsibilities

• Conduct well-child exams, sports physicals, developmental screenings, and immunizations.
• Diagnose and treat common pediatric conditions.
• Educate parents and patients on disease management, wellness, and preventive care.

• Support Family Advocacy Program exams, documentation, and reporting while supervising and mentoring residents, corpsmen, and support personnel.
• Document care accurately and timely in CHCS, AHLTA, and MHS Genesis while participating in training, staff meetings, quality improvement, and risk management activities.

You'll provide part-time weekend pediatric coverage in the Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, Virginia area, delivering outpatient pediatric care in a structured, team-oriented clinical setting supporting military families.

You'll provide comprehensive pediatric care for routine, acute, and chronic conditions while coordinating with specialists and support programs and documenting care accurately in military clinic EHR systems.
