Job summary

Cortica, based in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Pediatrician to join our multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on delivering direct patient care to children with neurodevelopmental differences, with care coordinated across clinicians and supported by emerging neuroscience insights.

You will participate in rounds, collaborate with specialists, and contribute to patient outcomes and family experiences in a growth-oriented clinical environment.

Qualifications

  • Four years of medical school from an accredited university.
  • Three+ years of U.S. pediatric residency training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, in-person and via telehealth, to pediatric patients within Cortica’s scope.
  • Perform all steps of patient care including history, exam, decision-making, referrals, documentation, and timely follow-up.
  • Meet productivity standards and maintain appropriate ratio of new to follow-up visits.
  • Ensure timely clinical documentation (same day or within two business days).
  • Communicate care plans to medical assistants and respond to patient-care needs within two business days.
  • Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and Medical Faculty activities.
  • Maintain positive patient experience and teammate experience metrics.
  • Lead, present, and teach at Weekly Rounds and sustain appropriate caseload and outcomes.

Cortica is seeking a Pediatrician to join our growing multi-disciplinary team in Charlotte, NC !

As a pediatrician with Cortica, you’ll provide medical care to patients with autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental differences as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary clinical team. What will you do?
  • Provide direct patient care, in-person and via telehealth, to pediatric and adult patients that fall within the clinical scope of Cortica’s patient population.
  • Perform all required activities related to patient care, inclusive of all elements of history, exam, clinical decision-making, order entry, appropriate referrals to other services or specialists, documentation, and any other tasks needed for appropriate patient care, at the expected standards of clinical quality and timeliness.
  • Meet productivity standards and expected ratio of new patient visits to follow-up patient visits.
  • Timely completion of clinical documentation, with 80% of encounters completed the same day and 100% of encounters completed within two business days.
  • Responsible to communicate all patient care plans to medical assistant face-to-face following each appointment and respond to all patient‑care needs within a clinically appropriate response time (not to exceed 2 business days).
  • Attend and actively participate in clinical meetings (Rounds, Case Collaboration, Medical Faculty, etc.) by sharing clinical insights, discussing treatment plans, and collaborating on patient care decisions.
  • Consistently receive positive patient experience feedback based on NPS and other sources.
  • Meet expected standards for teammate experience based on teammate feedback.
  • Lead, present, and teach at Weekly Rounds.
  • Sustain a patient caseload that meets established productivity expectations.
  • Meet expected standards for patient outcomes based on Whole Child Scorecard.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

  • You’ve completed 3+ years of U.S. based residency training in pediatrics.
  • You are board eligible/certified in pediatrics.
  • You hold and can maintain an unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.

The base pay range for this opening is $192,088 to $240,111. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
