Job summary

Connecticut Children's seeks a Value Analysis Specialist to lead the Product Evaluation/Value Analysis Program (PEVA) in collaboration with executive leadership, medical staff, and vendors. You will drive cost reduction and improve clinical outcomes by standardizing products, reviewing contracts, and rolling out new products throughout the organization.

You will manage Value Analysis Committees and coordinate trials, ensuring evidence-based decisions are implemented and tracked.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• 3-5 years related experience in a pediatric facility.
• Operating Room Experience or Critical Care nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to review/analyze data to drive decision-making, including using appropriate tools (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Drives clinical cost reduction and better patient outcomes as the Clinical Champion of Connecticut Children's Value Analysis Program.
• Organizes and manages all Value Analysis Committees at CT Children's.
• Assesses financial, clinical, operational data and evidence-based literature to select, evaluate, monitor and implement cost-effective products, services, and processes.
• Provides data/information related to Value Analysis and investigates new or alternative products/services.
• Coordinates clinical evaluation trial activity with clinical partners and ensures measurable outcomes.
• Leads the Roll-Out of Value Analysis decisions and drives projects to completion.
• Tracks all decisions and cost savings/spend with a tracking tool.
• Maintains Policies and Procedures related to PEVA.
• Keeps current on technology and regulatory trends impacting product utilization.
• Identifies product substitutions during shortages when needed.
• Demonstrates CT Children's mission and standards.
