Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa seeks a qualified APRN/PA-C to join the pediatric surgery team. The role includes patient examinations, first-assist in surgeries, and coordinating diagnostic testing in both hospital and outpatient settings.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in PA-C or APRN roles, with priority given to Urology and Pediatric Surgery experience. Florida license, NCCPA/ANCC certification, and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (APRN) or PA-C Studies.
• 2–5 years of experience as a PA-C or APRN; Urology (preferred) and Pediatric Surgery.
• Current Florida PA or APRN license; NCCPA/ANCC certification; BLS & ACLS; DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and evaluate acute and chronic urologic conditions in hospital and clinic settings.
• Assist in surgeries and provide first-assist support for pediatric general surgery.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-ray, ultrasound) and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with supervising physician and team to ensure consistent patient care.
• Maintain professional growth and effective relationships with patients, staff, and public.
